JEDDAH — Giving talented young Saudi's the chance to develop their creative skills and collaboration was the focus of recent Saudi National Creative Initiative (SNCI), a new, non-profit initiative in the Kingdom.

The initiative launches on March 2 and will run for 12 weeks, including over 200 consultancy sessions and workshops and 38 seminars held across Jeddah, Riyadh and Khobar.

Saudi National Creative Initiative creative seasons to startAccording to the founder and president of SNCI, Sofana Dahlan, the event will focus on different creative sectors, such as architecture, visual art, media and advertising, and tourism design and development.

“Every week three international experts in a field will come to the kingdom and give workshop,” she said

At the media conference announcing the initiative, Dahlan said the five pillars of communication, youth training and development, research, evaluation, and operations and partnerships needed to be implemented to achieve the SNCI goal of making young people more productive in the Kingdom.

She explained that the initiative is targeting creative youth, either Saudis or foreigners, living in Saudi Arabia.
