MAKKAH – A security man was injured in exchange of fire with an assailant in Makkah on Tuesday, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The attacker, who sustained injuries, was arrested, according to the Makkah police spokesman.

A man in his 30s fired several shots from his revolver near Al-Sharaie police station at around 11 a.m.

In the ensuing exchange of fire, a security man and the man were injured. Police are interrogating the culprit, the spokesman said.
