JEDDAH — The Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced the Entrepreneurs Forum and Exhibition will start on Tuesday. The event is held under the aegis of Makkah Emir Prince Khalid Al-Faisal.
Faris Al-Harbi, JCCI board member, said the event has been held annually for seven years but this year they have changed the name of the event from Youth Forum to Entrepreneurs Forum in order to have more
participants.
Also the former forums had specified that exhibitors should be below 40 years old, but this rule has been waived. The forum, he added, is a platform for partnership between established companies and young entrepreneurs.
The organizers announced two prizes, which will be given to best exhibitors. The prizes are free kiosks in a well known mall in Jeddah where they can display their products for a year.
Some 40 speakers will provide youth with valuable investment background, said the organizers. The event will have 200 exhibitors from various Saudi regions as well as from UAE and Kuwait. This, the organizers said, will increase partnership opportunities.
The exhibition will be organized for five days from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will have 24 workshops that will focus on challenges facing entrepreneurs and will serve as a platform for exchanging experience and highlighting success stories.
JCCI board member Ziyad Al-Bassam said that they are expecting 15,000 visitors and added that participating youth will generate an estimated value of SR20 millions from expected contracts.
