TABUK — A teacher died and five other victims were injured in a road accident on Sunday. Tabuk Education Affairs director, Omar Abu Hashim, said the accident took place in Al-Zaitah governorate on Tabuk-Bir Bin Harmas road. The bus carrying the teacher, Khadija Al Saad, and three of her colleagues was speeding when it collided with another bus, before veering off the road and rolling. Al Saad was killed in the accident, while the three other teachers and both drivers suffered various degrees of injuries.
Three establishments shut down
JEDDAH — Three establishments were shut down for not complying with national environmental health regulations. The General Presidency of Meteorology and Environment spokesman, Hussain Al-Qahtani, said the organization fined 20 establishments and shut down another three for violations discovered during an inspection campaign to ensure that all operating establishments comply with environmental health regulations. The campaign was organized across four provinces — Riyadh, Makkah, Asir, Baha — with the establishments found in violation of regulations including cement factories, steel factories, environmental consultancy offices and others. The presidency’s role is to ensure that all establishments comply with the Kingdom’s environmental health regulations, which are aimed at protecting the environment.
Peeping Tom arrested
JAZAN — The police arrested three men for the murdering of an Arab expatriate alleged to have secretly recording women at a wedding. Jazan Police spokesman, Lt. Gen. Mohammad Al-Harby, said Sibya Public Hospital contacted local police about a deceased man, covered in bruises, who had been dropped at the hosptial. Forensics revealed that the victim was an Arab expatriate, and after further investigation, police concluded that the victim had been kidnapped by three men, and then beaten and starved until he died. The police was able to identify and arrest three suspects, who later confessed to the murder, and said that the man had been secretly recording women on his phone at a wedding ceremony. According to the three, they chased the man down, intending to steal his phone, but a fight between them escalated and lead to them kidnapping and killing the man.
Smoke in the

JAZAN — The Penal Court building was evacuated for fear of a fire after smoke engulfed the building on Sunday. Jazan Civil Defense spokesman, Capt. Yahya Al-Qahtani, said it received reports of smoke in the court on Sunday morning. The Civil Defense arrived on the scene to find that one of the computers in the computer room was emitting smoke. The Civil Defense evacuated the building, shut off electricity, and ventilated the building to get rid of the smoke. The court had to suspend work for the day until the Civil Defense ensured that the building was safe.
