RIYADH — The Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris has further established its leading position in the global luxury hotel segment with the announcement that Le Cinq, its classic French restaurant, has been awarded three stars in the 2016 edition of the prestigious Michelin Guide. The announcement makes the Four Seasons Hotel George V, the only hotel in Paris to receive both three Michelin stars and the Gault Millau 19 points/5 toques simultaneously.
The Michelin Guide is the oldest European hotel and restaurant reference guide which awards Michelin stars for excellence to a select few establishments. It is considered today the ultimate gastronomic award focusing on ingredients, technique, exceptional flavors, and overall memorable experience. A three-Michelin-star award means that a restaurant offers “exceptional cuisine” and is “worth a special journey”.
Gault Millau evaluates all of the above with a greater focus on innovation and creativity and ratings on a scale of 1 to 20 and 1 to 5 toques.
Achieving the highest scores on both of these awards confirms that Le Cinq offers the ultimate restaurant experience by providing exceptional dining with an innovative culinary flair.
Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) which owns 100% consideration in the Hotel George V, said “this award serves as further confirmation of the Four Seasons Hotel George V’s undisputed leadership position in the luxury hotel sector worldwide.” He added “as the sole owner of this iconic asset, KHC continuously reinvests in the property’s infrastructure and service levels to ensure the Four Seasons Hotel George V remains the gold standard for luxury hospitality worldwide.”
