Makkah — Four Asian workers died in a fire in Makkah late Tuesday night, spokesman of the General Department of Civil Defense in Makkah Maj. Naif Al-Sharif said on Wednesday.
He said the fire broke out in a room on the second floor of an auto repair workshop in the city’s Ree’a Thakher area. The room was being used as a residential flat for the workers of the auto repair workshop.
Civil Defense firefighters and rescuers managed to extinguish the fire.
Investigations are going on to ascertain the causes of the accident, Al-Sharif said.
