JEDDAH – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Insurance, Energy & Utilities and Media & Publishing sectors led shares higher.

At the close, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.32%.

The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Al-Ahlia Insurance Company, which rose 9.50% or 0.85 points to trade at 9.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Amana Cooperative Insurance Co added 9.09% or 1.05 points to end at 12.60 and Arabia Insurance Cooperative Co was up 6.73% or 0.70 points to 11.10 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Al-Jouf Agriculture Development Co, which fell 3.12% or 1.00 points to trade at 31.10 at the close. Saudi Fisheries Co.declined 2.82% or 0.40 points to end at 13.80 and National Metal Manufacturing Co. was down 2.66% or 0.80 points to 29.30.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 98 to 53 and 17 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.63% or 0.28 to $44.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.26% or 0.57 to hit $44.80 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.58% or 20.50 to trade at $1273.50 a troy ounce. — SG/Agencies
