CAIRO — Egyptian engineer, Ahmed Bahnas, has decided to break the Guinness World Records by designing the largest ancient Egyptian tunic.
Bahnas believes that he can use Egyptian history to promote tourism with the ancient Egyptian tunic, measuring 40 meters long and 22 meter wide.
Bahnas will release his largest tunic in a huge event in Sharm El Sheikh next October, attended by representatives from various ministries, especially tourism, embassy representatives and tourism agencies.
Bahnas said that he emailed the Guinness World Records to find out the size of the largest tunic made, and decided to make a 40 meter tunic to beat the previous record by 9 meters.
He said he hoped the record breaking attempt would promote tourism to Egypt.
Bahnas said he wanted to do the grand event at the pyramids but it wasn’t possible so he decided Sharm El Sheikh was a good alternative.
