JEDDAH — The Pakistan Haj Volunteers Group (PHVG) has introduced a new ‘Haj Navigator’ app, which will work through iPhone and iOS operating system for the benefit the pilgrims and PHVG volunteers.

The app can be downloaded from Apple Store and it contains very useful information in Urdu, Arabic and English for the pilgrims of South Asian countries particularly Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
Local pilgrims from Saudi Arabia can also avail this app.

This new application containing information for pilgrim’s residence in Makkah, pilgrims offices in Mina, train stations, Jamarat, mosque, medical center, Civil Defense facilities, slaughterhouses, police and securities department and other departments from where they can get help.

The app has been prepared by PHVG software engineers Umer Mansour Ali and Fahad Mansour Ali.

PHVG was established in 2011 to serve and guide the pilgrims during Haj without having any political, religious, linguistic and sectarian affiliation with any group.

It is a group of legal Pakistani residents in KSA having valid Iqama. The group provides assistance and guidance to the pilgrims particularly during their stay in Mina from Dhul Haj 9 to 12.

PHVG services are very much appreciated and supported by the Pakistan Embassy and Pakistan Haj Mission in Makkah.

Earlier PHVG engineer Shahid Farooq had introduced the Mina locator app, which works in the Android operating system.

This app too works in all three languages — English Arabic and Urdu. The relatives of pilgrims can also benefit from both the apps. PHVG volunteers are guiding and providing comfort to the pilgrims with the help of these applications.
Mina locator can be downloaded from Google store while Haj navigator can be downloaded from Apple store.
