JEDDAH — Abdulaleem, Waqas, Hasanat Ahmed and Aijaz Butt excelled in the SCC Premier T20 Tournament, sponsored by Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC) and managed by Western Province Cricket Association (WPCA).
Friends XI got the better of AOT by 5 wickets. AOT was stranded at 160-6. Ilyas stroked 36, Nasir 34 and Maqsood 17. Wajahat Shah took 3-29 and Umair 2-48.
Friends XI replied with 162-5 in 99 balls. Amir Sajjad scored 29, Saleem 30, Mazhar 29, Amjad Jutt 29 and Wajahat Shah 28 not out. Moiz took 2-28 and Rameez 2-34.
MCC won by 9 runs against ALS Warriors. MCC amassed 221. Khawar Sohail hit 34, Usman 80 in 27 balls and Nouman 41. Abdulaleem was the most successful bowler with 4-46. Mohammed Amjad took 3-34 and Fahad 2-29.
ALS Warriors batted well to get to 212-7. Mohammed Khan stroked 44, Mohammed Amjad 19, Talha 18 and Fahad 19. Abdulaleem exhibiting a fine all-round performance hammered 68 with 6 sixes and 4 fours. Emad took 2-25 and Rashid 2-40.
SCC Afternoon
Aijaz Butt, Waqas and Hasanat Ahmed hit tons in the SCC Afternoon T20 Cup. Jotun Paints, Al-Safri XI, UCC, Natcom and Nestle Milo emerged victorious in the SCC Afternoon Tournament. Jotun Paints defeated Royal Brothers by 34 runs. Jotun Paints produced 159-8. Shabbir hit 37, Qasim 16 and Usman 46. Afsar Khan took 2-24, Hamid 2-37 and Umar 2-28.
Royal Brothers, in response, could manage 125. Hamid Khan stroked 47 and Shoaib 18. Shafeeq took 4-12 and Qasim 2-23.
UCC thrashed Youth Cricket Club by 156 runs. UCC, put into bat, amassed 232-5. Raja Mudassir scored 20, Ali Raza 23 and Irfan Ghulam 43. Aabaid Darwish batted magnificently to hammer 79 in 36 balls with 12 fours and 2 sixes, while Ahmed Faraz remained unbeaten on 21.
Youth Cricket Club, in response, was bundled out for 76. Mohammed Ali scored 27. Amir Mughal grabbed 4-22 and Yasser Ameen 2-12.
Al-Safri XI trounced El-Seif Eng. Co. by 141 runs. Al-Safri XI, riding on the ton hit by Hasanat Ahmed, racked up a mammoth 222-2 as he blasted an unbeaten 103 in 48 balls with 17 boundaries and a six. He added 138 in 61 balls for the second wicket with Muneeb Anwar who retired out for 71 in 36 balls. Earlier, Rehan made 28. El-Seif Eng. Co., in reply, crashed for 81 to lose by 141 runs. Maqsood scored 26 as Asad bowled well for 4-11, Rizwan 3-21 and Manjeet Kumar 2-8.
Natcom had the last laugh against Zultrack by 23 runs. Natcom piled up 168-3. Opener Waqas hammered an unbeaten 113 in 60 balls with 12 fours and 3 sixes as he first added 70 with Amir Shahzad (9) and then 86 with Ali (35).
Zultrack, in response, was stranded at 145-8. Subaiyyal made 33, Yasir 25 and Zeeshan 27. Asad took 2-15, Khadim 2-18 and Majid 2-20.
Nestle Milo humbled Gujarat Eagles by 10 wickets. Gujarat Eagles posted 144-9. Waqas made 30, Ilyas 15 and Adeel 29 not out. Irfan Alvi scalped 3-20, Bilal Malik 2-25 and Mahend 2-32.
Nestle Milo, in reply, got to the target in 92 balls as Aijaz Butt in awesome touch smashed an unbeaten 100 in 52 balls studded with 8 fours and 6 sixes. Abdullah Zahid remained unbeaten 42 to get to the winning target of 151 for no loss.
