JEDDAH — On October 27, Kashmir Black day was observed at PISJ-ES to express their solidarity with the Kashmiris and condemn illegal occupation of India on this land of paradise. This day marks the hostile and violent plunder of Indian troops in Kashmir; hence known as the Kashmir Black Day across the world.

On this occasion, enlightening the audience about the importance of the black day, Principal Adnan Nasir said, “Kashmir is not just a territorial dispute and a political conflict any more. Instead it’s a matter of self-determination and rights of the Kashmiri people.”

“It’s been decades of ceaseless atrocities, violence, bloodshed, slaughter, molestation and massacres of innocent human beings in the Indian occupied Kashmir but their stand for justice and voice for human rights cannot be suppressed,” he said.

Nasir said that our support towards Kashmiris and observance of this day is a call to all humanitarians of the world to consider this matter seriously and play their role against such an abuse of humanity to bring about a solution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with its people’s aspirations and the UN resolutions.

After the principal’s address, students mirrored the struggles of Kashmiri people through presentations which depicted the facts and figures of atrocities in Kashmir and the determination of its people for their rights of peace and freedom.

They pictured how the breathtaking natural beauty of Kashmir and its splendidly rich heritage are being ruined in the smoke of ruthlessness of Indian army. This presentation revived the promise of Pakistanis that they would always stand by Kashmiri people and would never let their hopes and voice for their rights die. The program concluded with a supplicatory hymn, ‘Insha Allah, you will find your way.’ — SG
