SEATTLE – By focusing on the interior part of the plane, Boeing is reconnecting people to the fun and excitement of traveling and understand how fun is flying and make them enjoy the conformable seats, this is how Jeff Harber, regional director product marketing of Boeing, aptly described the company during a tour to its factory for the Saudi media.

The Saudi media group came with the Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) to attend the receiving on Wednesday of Saudia’s first Boeing B777-300ER aircraft which is supplied with new and luxurious compartments for the first class passengers.

The media had the chance to have a general look of how several planes are produced, including assembled models 747 and 767 and 777 and 787 Dreamliner.

Harber said the new Boeing B777-300ER aircraft has fuel efficiency of around 2 percent, luxurious special interior design that give the passengers comfort, and the capability to have more chairs compared to the old planes because of larger space.

He added that the upcoming 777X jet is scheduled to have its first delivery in 2020. The new engine will be better than any other engines since the fuel efficiency would be around 5 percent. The plane is considered as a friendly environment aircraft.

A published report said Boeing has invested $300 million so far in the new plant, which will have about 700 employees over the next few years and support the 777X assembly operations in Everett, Washington.

Boeing is celebrating its 100th year this year.
