PARIS - Moroccan singer Saad Lamjarred’s parents are patiently, and nervously, awaiting the French judicial system’s verdict on their son’s case. Saad’s parents, Moroccan singer and composer Bachir Abdou and actress Nezha Regragui, are still in Paris where their son is being held at the Fleury-Mérogis prison on “aggravated rape” charges, reported Le360.

The 31-year-old singer was arrested in October after 20-year-old French model Laura Prioul accused him of sexually assaulting her.

“We are in a very difficult and delicate situation. We are praying and are impatiently awaiting the denouement of this case,” Bachir Abdou told Le360.

Saad’s parents visited him in prison last Monday after Laura refused to confront him in court due to experiencing a “dire psychological crisis.” - Agencies
