RIYADH — The Ministry of Labor and Social Development has strictly instructed a cleaning company in Unaizah, Qassim province, to disburse delayed salaries of about 150 workers. An inspection team from the labor office in Unaizah visited the firm’s headquarters and took note of the grievances and complaints of the workers. The officials then asked the management to clear all salary arrears without delay.

According to the ministry sources, the number of labor problems such as delay in disbursement of salaries and allowances has witnessed a decline after the imposition of the Wage Protection Program. It was also instrumental in increasing productivity by creating an appropriate work environment.

The program helps the ministry to get an exact picture of the labor market with minute details with regard to compliance with labor regulations by both employers and employees. The ministry urged the public to inform it about any violations by visiting its website for the purpose (www.rasd.ma3an.gov.sa) or calling the toll free number 19911.
