Where there’s a will, there’s a way. Saudi Yazid Al-Fefi and his children have proved this adage right.
They live in a remote village in Jazan, some 125 km from the provincial capital. Everyday, Al-Fefi’s children face the challenging task of going to school and returning home. They have to make their way through Fifa Mountain, helped by their father through the arduous trek. There are places where the girls get a helping hand from their brother.
Al-Fefi starts early so that he can drop his children to their school on time given the steep climbs and narrow slopes of the rugged mountain. He has breakfast with his children before leaving for their school. — Reuters photos by Mohamed Al Hwaity
