JEDDAH – Residents of Qatif have called on all people on the wanted list of the Ministry of Interior to surrender before the authorities because the security men will any way hunt them down and bring to justice, Al-Madinah newspaper reported.
They praised security officers for arresting people involved in the kidnapping of Sheikh Muhammad Al-Jirani, a judge in Qatif, stressing that they will be of help to the security forces in the reporting of every traitor and criminal. Also, they asked the kidnappers to quickly release Sheikh Al-Jirani because kidnapping is a serious crime that will receive the worst of punishments.
Citizen Hashim Hassan from Al-Qatif invited people whose names appear on the Interior Ministry's wanted list to turn themselves in to the nearest police station immediately. "This is a real opportunity, which they will not get again," he said, and demanded the immediate release of Sheikh Al-Jirani.
Ali Hussein said: "The Interior Ministry statement is clear and we will help the security forces by reporting all criminals and traitors. We support our security men against anyone who tampers with the security and safety of our beloved country. I assure you that they will be arrested soon."
Hussein advised all wanted men to surrender to the security authorities and release of Sheikh Al-Jirani.
Hamad Jaffar, resident of Qatif, pointed out that security is essential for life and that violence is rejected by everyone. Author and blogger Haitham Mansour praised the role security men play in ensuring everyone's safety and the reassurance given by the state for all through an integrated system in all regions, cities and villages.
"Security is in the hands of every citizen, which is a red line that can not be crossed," he said.
The Interior Ministry on Monday announced the arrests of three people in the abduction of Al-Jirani.
A ministry statement warned the kidnappers against harming the judge and called on them to release him unconditionally.
The ministry added that the investigations led to the identification of three people who were directly involved in the crime. They are Muhammad Hussein Ali Al-Ammar, Maitham Ali Muhammad Al-Qudaihi and Ali Bilal Saud Al-Hamad. The names had appeared on a list of nine wanted persons issued on Oct. 30. Security forces have placed a bounty and reward for any information that could lead to the arrest of the wanted men.
