JEDDAH — Senior Dar Al-Hekma University students showcased their creative and inspired work at an exhibition here recently.
The exhibition displayed the work produced by university’s talented young women over the last 4 years, honing their own unique styles as graphic designers and motion graphic artists.
During the exhibition process, students go through real-life experience as to what they will expect in the future. They create a product by initially doing research and developing the identity and design. In the exhibition, they displayed their projects and received professional feedback from faculty and experts.
Samaher Ghazzawi, a senior student showcasing her work at the exhibition, said she was curious about learning new things are and finding out "what's next?" whereas Noura Al Attas expressed her desire as a graphic design major to travel and undertake more courses in time-based media to get a fuller picture as a visual communicator.
“The Visual Communication program has been one of the most popular majors in Dar Al-Hekma University, I have received many testimonial throughout the years about the level of professionalism, distinctiveness and creativity our graduates exhibit, and this corroborates that we are guiding them down the right path,” said Dr. Suhair H. Al Qurashi, president of Dar Al-Hekma University.
The entrepreneurial side of Dar Al-Hekma University students is evident with the projects like Sawsan Aidaroos and Samaher Ghazzawi who talked about their excitement of the potential to offer their products in stores.
Undoubtedly for all the students their most rewarding experiences were the ones they shared collectively as a year group saying that what they will miss the most about university life and the friendships they made.
