JEDDAH — The second edition of Automechanika Jeddah 2017 concluded on a successful note with an enthusiastic response from business visitors.
Generating around 6,000 visitors, the three-day show witnessed widespread networking among the participating exhibitors from the aftermarket.
The annual showcase, which took place on Jan. 31 to Feb. 2, 2017 at the Jeddah Centre for Forums & Events, featured 174 exhibitors from 25 countries from Turkey, China and Taiwan, while debut pavilions include the USA, Korea, Hong Kong and the European pavilion.
“Automechanika for the second year here in Jeddah has demonstrated its position as the largest and most international trade fair brand in the whole of the automotive industry. This year’s Automechanika Jeddah has been really a magnet for the public with quality visitors and contacts in a great environment,” said Ahmed Pauwels, CEO of Messe Frankfurt Middle East.
Zahoor Siddique, vice president of Al Harithy Company for Exhibitions (ACE), said the mood all round was positive.
“The show’s expansion reflects the performance of Saudi’s automobile market and we are at ACE very proud to be part of this international exhibition to create a platform for the world’s leading auto aftermarket suppliers and manufacturers to establish long-lasting business relationships with buyers and distributors from Saudi’s Western region.”
He noted that the number of key buyers and decision makers attending the exhibition continues to rise each year, making the show an important source of new business contacts.
Several exhibitors and trade visitors have confirmed on closing sizeable business deals. The next edition of ACMA Automechanika will primarily focus on the needs of the growing Saudi aftermarket and will be scheduled for the first time in Riyadh February 2018.
