RIYADH — Toastmasters International Riyadh’s 16th Division-A annual contest was held at Pak House, with conference chairperson DTM Dr. Tuba Khan and Division A Director DTM Sanjay Mahat the main organizers whereas DTM Abraham Daniel was the chief judge of the contest.
About 20 clubs of Toastmasters International Division-A with their 40 contestants out of 800 members participated in the contest. The contest had four different categories ranging from humorous, table topics evaluation, and international categories.
TM Ruel Ontiveros stood first in humorous category while TM Syed Viqaruddin was second and TM Siva Ramalingam secured third position.
In evaluation category of contest DTM Samer Kamal was the first place winner, TM Ruel Ontiveros was second and TM Adam Chanda was third.
DTM Samar Kamal secured the first position in table topics category with TM Adam Chanda on second position and TM Siva Ramalingam on third.
TM Nawaf Al Tasan emerged the winner of international speech contest category, DTM Samer Kamal came second and TM Ruel Ontiveros was awarded the third position.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Tuba Khan congratulated the winners of the contest and thanked all the participants and members of the organizing committees for the successful conclusion of the conference.
Prominent social personalities Ahmed Hussain and Dr. Saeed Ahmed Waince were the special guests at the conference, several notables of the conference included Sayeed Mohiuddin, Matthew Phillips, Taqiuddin Mir, Samar Kamal, Rasool Salam, Kristina Delacruz, Azhar Ahmed, Ruby Rose among others.
These four contests had clubs competing from four different areas, the first two winners from each categorty will go to Saudi Arabian toastmasters conference for further competition, the winner of the international speech will be competing in the world championship of public speaking.
