JEDDAH — Dar Al-Hekma University’s senior motion graphics student Tasneem Ismail wins 3rd place with her team at this year’s MENA-wide Unilever Quest in Aswan, Egypt, on Feb. 22. The team members will receive COOPs and job opportunities in Unilever.

Unilever Quest is a competition across universities in seven countries and puts the student’s passion for business and innovation to test. The competition has four stages: the registration, experience Unilever day, country talent championship and NAME camp. Tasneem had to go through all of them. She was the winner of the third stage — country talent championship — where she had to work on real life business challenge that gives an insight into how the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industries work.

“Tasneem’s achievement is truly something to be proud of. Her winning of the Unilever Quest competition for Saudi Arabia is a great accomplishment. She applied the knowledge and skills that she learned during her time studying at Dar Al-Hekma University and demonstrated the high level of education our students receive. She is a great example of a Dar Al-Hekma University student and a role model for her peers,” said Dr. Cordula Peters, the chair of the Visual Communication Department.

Tasneem Ismail and her team members Ahmad Alsaeed and Rahaf AlSaieri received a case study where they had to focus on developing a 5-year plan that contributes to the growth of a Unilever brand in MENA Region by making the brand the first hygiene brand in a high penetration market and launching and improving it in a low penetration market.

The case study covered all the following aspects: finance, supply chain, marketing, management, graphic design, product manufacturing and design, social mission.
