JEDDAH — A distinct and outstanding program “Taslim Iyadi” (Helping Hands) was inaugurated at the exhibition of excellence and fashion 2017 at Hilton hotel here recently.

Famous Saudi designer Rania Akkad gave warm and generous touches to her completed project.

She believed in the importance of supporting small projects and upgrading the distinctive ones with cooperation of distinguished Chef Adnan Yamani and support from all media outlets.

Speaking to Saudi Gazette Akkad said, “Helping Hands” project  (Taslim Iyadi) was not established for support only, but to meet all the needs and access to symbolic prices in order to benefit the families. She said the idea came from the presence of a group of families working from home preparing meals and dishes and displaying it on social networking sites such that the home in turn became the shop, causing inconvenience and resentment. In addition the need for a special delegate to deliver meals to customers, ate into the costs and demand causing a decline in income. Hence the idea of the project “Helping Hands” to create a solution for all by establishing their own shop to display their products and it is a supportive place for productive families.

She also pointed to the extensive media support for all and was keen to highlight the names of their projects and introduce them to all to achieve the greatest benefit to these families. A number of ideas and plans aimed at supporting families and will be implemented in the future.

She pointed out that training courses are being conducted for the families to show them ways of improving the product and marketing process as well as setting prices that fit the market in order to ensure an integrated product.

Participants Dr. Ridan Khalid, Mariam Al-Duhaim, Ms. Hoda Mekki, Umm Hamza Dandari, Um Mariam Al-Aidroos and Mr. Rami Abulbain all thanked designer Rania Akkad and the organizers of the project “Taslim Iyadi”.
