RIYADH — Pakistan International School, English Section, Riyadh (PISES) holds the reputation of being one of the top educational institutions in the region for the last decade for continuously producing excellent results in ‘O’ and ‘A’ Level exams. Every year PISES students further strengthen this reputation by living up to the traditions of this august institution. Since 2007, its students have secured positions not only in KSA but also at world level.
Following the announcement by British Council for the May/June 2016 International A’ Level-Edexcel Examination, two of its students, Hamza Hamid Hussain and Laiba Arshad Khan, topped the world in mathematics. In addition, Mubashira Ali stood 3rd in business studies, Abdul Rehman Mustafa ranked 4th in the world in biology and chemistry, Zainab Tariq Soomro stood 4th in the world in mathematics, and Syed Wahaj Ahmed ranked 4th in the world in physics and 5th in the world in chemistry. Thirty-six high achievers got straight As in Edexcel A Level June 2016 Exams.
Though the students of PISES have been making their mark for many years, it is the first time that eight students are amongst the highest achievers in the world. This outstanding performance reflects the devotion and dedication of teachers, hard work and enthusiasm of students, and keen and watchful role of parents.
Muhammad Tanveer, principal of PISES, Riyadh, expressed his gratitude to Allah Almighty for this achievement and congratulated the staff, students and their parents for their collective efforts and contribution to bring school to this standard.
Prof. Dr. Sultan Ayub Meo (Chairman SMC) and the members of SMC congratulated the students, teachers and parents at the marvelous achievement.
They further said that it is a matter of honor and prestige not only for PISES but also for the Pakistani community living in KSA. On this occasion, they reaffirmed that SMC and school principal would determinedly keep on working to provide better educational facilities to the community in Riyadh.
