JEDDAH — The Cultural Courtyard, a local entertainment event that mixed cuisine, fun and education, is winding down in Jeddah on Saturday.

The event, which began on April 4 in the Courtyard City at the intersection of Prince Sultan Street with Al-Rawdah Street, grabbed the attention of many families. It educated them about many different cultures and countries by presenting several international dishes and showcasing special entertainment shows and games.

The activities started at 6 p.m. and continued till midnight. All what the family members needed to do was to buy the entry tickets so they have the opportunity to watch the shows that feature social media celebrities and standup comedians. By buying the tickets they can get discounts at some of the restaurants in the area. There is a playing area, too.

Reema Khalid, a visitor, said: “This is an amazing event and having three entertainment events running in Jeddah at the same time is a positive step. The Cultural Courtyard is a new happening where one can see different cultures and learn more about other countries’ food habits. I really enjoyed it.”

Hiba Ahmed, another visitor, mentioned that she liked the shows and she thought the prices of tickets suited all categories. “It is a new and light experience,” she said.
“Paying SR40 for adults and SR20 for children was reasonable for such an entertaining event where you could spend several hours with your kids. Honestly, the place was full of happiness and excitement. I felt the positive vibes around me. Mixing food and fun, they taught people about different places and their food habits in an enjoyable way, which is definitely a very smart step,” she said.
