JEDDAH — Medispo Sharafiya lifted the winners’ trophy in the 5th edition of the Abeer Premier League Football Tournament recently.
Medispo defeated Al-Ahli FC Makkah 3-2 in the final. Player of the Match Shafeek Alias Kunhali scored two goals and Moideen completed the tally for the winner. Al-Ahli scorers were Majirashi and Rayyan.
Dr. Jemshith Ahmed, vice president, and Abdussamad, corporate executive director of Abeer Medical Group, presented the trophies to the winner and runner-up, respectively.
In addition, prize money was declared for the winner and runner-up teams by the management of Abeer.
Other awardees were: Best Player — Aymen (Medispo Sharafiyah); Best Forward — Bibek Pradhan (Medispo Sharafiyah); Best Midfielder — Majirashi (Al-Ahli FC Makkah); Best Goalkeeper — Basheer Kunhippa (Medispo Sharafiyah); Top Scorer — Shafeek Alias Kunhali (Medispo Sharafiyah); Best Team in March-past — Bawadi Warriors; Fair Play — Abeer Sanayyah; Best Event Organizer — E. K. Hyderali.
Guests Abdul Majeed Naha, Shibu Trivandrum, media person Jaleel Kannamangalam, Hashim, the staff and management of Abeer Medical Group witnessed the final. — SG
