JEDDAH — The well-attended titled “Khalejiat” Exhibition came to a close last April 30. The four-day exhibition, saw the attendance of a large number of visitors at the Hilton Hotel in Jeddah looking to genuinely buy fabulous dresses, trendy abayas, creative jewelry design, perfumes and shoes, in addition to beauty and household products.
The exhibition with the participation of more than 120 female designers from the GCC countries was attended by around 19000 women including designers, businesswomen and visitors from Gulf countries.
The Khalejiat Fashion Exhibition is a unique fashion event showcasing the finest designs and latest trends of Khaliji abayas, Arabic kaftans, veils and evening gowns. Now in its seventh edition, this year’s exhibition saw a transformation to a more upscale fashion platform for women seeking the latest and finest GCC fashion designs, according to the organizers.
“We are proud to have played an important role in revamping this year’s Khalejiat Fashion Exhibition. With the support of our partners we managed to organize and host the fair and I would like to thank all our partners and the participating designers for taking part in this year’s event,” said Abeer Arif, president of the organizing committee.
She said the Union of Gulf Designers and the exhibition will contribute to the economic growth of the GCC countries in general and Saudi Arabia in particular. She further said that it will also help in achieving the ‹Vision 2030› and support the community.
“This year’s exhibition was much more than just a shopping destination; we wanted to create a place for women to showcase, inspire, socialize, network and motivate others in the industry to reach regional recognition,” she added.
The Seventh edition of Khalejiat Exhibition was inaugurated by Princess Ahood bint Nasser bin Abdulaziz on Thursday.
