Riyadh — The 10 programs which the Council of Economic and Development Affairs (CEDA) recently identified to achieve Saudi Vision 2030 include housing and lifestyle improvement plans and the program to strengthen national identity on the basis of Islamic and national values.
The national identity program aims to inculcate values that contribute to motivating individuals to be an efficient generation.
It also plans to work to protect individuals from religious, social and cultural threats.
The housing program aims to provide a dignified life to Saudi families by enabling them to own houses that match their needs and financial capabilities.
The program also includes developing residential and construction sectors via the most modern techniques such as the 3D construction techniques.
The housing program aims to contribute to improving lifestyle in the Kingdom by preparing the necessary environment to support new options that enhance citizens’ and residents’ participation in activities related to culture, entertainment, sports and other fields.
The program of developing the financial sector, which is one of the 10 programs that the CEDA identified to achieve Vision 2030, aims to enhance the development of the Saudi capital markets. The program also includes developing financial institutions, such as public and private funds, banks and insurance companies to improve their role in supporting the growth of the private sector.
Another aim is to develop Saudi capital markets so they attract local and foreign investments and thus perform a pivotal role in developing national economy and diversifying its income sources.
The Council of Economic and Development Affairs has already approved the strategic aims for Vision 2030.
These strategic aims allow them to follow up on the progress of executive plans and programs and to take into consideration any negative consequences on the economy as a whole or on incomes and services during the execution phases.
During the next four months, the specialized committees will work on these programs’ executive plans.
