JEDDAH — Challengers CC beat Jeddah Gladiator to clash with Reliance Fusion9, which downed Bhatkal, in the semi-final of the Jeddah Premier League Dream India Cup at the Sulaimania Ground No. 1 & 2 Friday.

The tournament, being held under the umbrella of Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC).

The Tournament Sponsored by Dream India Group, a real estate development company from Hyderabad. Among the Co-Sponsors are: Sunshine School from Hyderabad India, Mahmood Saeed Beverage Industry, Elite Business Group, Paradise Hotel, Parvaz Hotel, Bawarchi Hotel, Khind, Halwani, Fusion 9 & Nestle.

Afternoon Matches

In the first semifinal, Jeddah Gladiator won the toss and made 171 for 5 in the allotted 16 overs. Asif (20), Afsar (44 in 25), Rifaz (32 in 17) and Mannan (44 in 18),

In reply, Challengers CC once again proved that they are the best in chasing the target and reached the target easily 175 for 4 in 14.3 overs. Noel was adjudged the Man of the Match for his all round performance (43 in 26, 4x6 1x6), whereas Sarfaraz excellent opening knock (34 in 21, 3x4 2x6), Ayub (30 in 12 4x6) and Haris (26 in 12 4x1 3x6).

In the second semifinal, Bhatkal (BCA) won the toss and elected to bat first. It put on a respectable total of 140-10 in 16 overs. Arfath top scorer in Bhatkal side (74 in 42, 2x4 5x6)

In reply, Reliance Fusion9 easily reached the target 145 in 10.1 overs and won the match. Masood was named the Man of the Match for his all round performance (48 in 21 and 2 wickets), Sattar (24 in 15), Anas (39 in 12) and Usman (24 in 6).
