JEDDAH — Tarek Abdul Hamid Mishkhas, editor-in-chief of Urdu News, gave his best wishes to Choudhry Mohammed Akram on his new role as member of advisory council in Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resources Development in the government of Pakistan.

He was speaking as chief guest in a function organized by Pakistani community to mark this occasion at a local restaurant.

A large number of community members from all walks of life and representative of various literary, social, culture and journalist forums attended the function and congratulated Akram.

Mishkhas also congratulated Akram on his elevation and said it is a matter of immense pleasure for us that Choudhry Akram has been selected member of advisory council of OPF.

“He is a senior and dedicated member of Pakistani community and has shown fine capabilities in handling problems,” he said.

Malik Manzoor Hussain Awan, central president Pakistan Youth Council (PYC), presided over the function.

Najeeb Ullah Khan, Welfare Attaché at Consulate General of Pakistan, and Masood Ahmed Puri, president Kashmir Committee Jeddah were guests of honor.

Najeeb briefed about OPJ. “I am standing here on behalf of Consul General Shehryar Akbar Khan and assure Ch. Akram full cooperation and support from the Consulate to solve the issues of community,” he said.

Akram thanked all participants and broadcast audio messages of Chairman Barrister Amjad Malik and member Choudhry Noor-ul-Hasan Tanveer of the advisory council.

Earlier, the function began with recitation of few verses from Holy Qur’an by Hafiz Mohammed Saeed. Naat was presented by Sher Afzal. Choudhry Mohammed Azam conducted the program.
