JEDDAH — GBoard, Saudi German Hospital and ICAD marched ahead with convincing wins over their respective opponents in the 9th week matches of the Ace Travel Saudi Cup, sponsored by Ace Travel and Tours and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).
GBoard romped home by a massive margin of 146 runs as openers Ikramullah 113 (44 balls — 18 fours, 4 sixes) and Munawwar 94 (42 balls — 10 fours, 4 sixes) put on 188 for the opening wicket and with Fakhar contributing a flashing 66 (25 balls - 7 fours 3 sixes) their team reached 314 for 4. Then it restricted Peeran XI to 168 for 4.
Saudi German Hospital handed Pepsi Deccan Knight its first defeat as it was bowled out for 151, thanks due to penetrative bowling by SGH bowlers Khader (2 for 17, Irshad (2 for 44) and Irfan (2 for 42) which ended in a cake walk win for SGH batsmen as they reached the target for the loss of 4 wickets. ICAD shot MB Stars by 23 runs mainly due to Waqar’s knock of 48 runs and some tight bowling by bowlers Rizwan (3 for 20) and Shakeel (2 for 34).
