JUBAIL — The Youth Leadership Program (YLP) of the Elite Toastmasters Club in Jubail Industrial City culminated in its Grand Finale at the Mariya International Schools auditorium. The event’s grandeur and rich content enthralled the 300 plus audience.
Keynote speeches, one titled “The Grand Transformation” by Elite Youth Leadership Program Chief Advisor DTM Periyanayaham and one titled “Responsible parenting” by DTM Jacob Kuriakose to youth leaders, emphasized the importance of transformation that was witnessed in the youth leaders.
The event saw 26 youth leaders from 8 different nationalities and from 4 different schools — the International Indian School, Mariya International School and Al-Hussan School — display their speaking and leadership skills that they learned during the 8-weeklong program under the able guidance and coaching of the dedicated Toastmasters led by Chief Coordinator TM Musthafa P Mohammad.
The hallmark of the event was the brilliant display of speaking prowess by the talented youth leaders in three different speech contest categories, the International Speech, Table Topic Speech and Evaluation Speech Contests. Renowned DTM Dr. George was the chief judge of the grand finale contests.
DTM Dr. Sheikh Shakil Anjum –District Club Growth Director — and other leaders of the Toastmasters fraternity including DTM Hassan Maghazel, DTM Khalid Al Ghamdi,, DTM Jolly Kollamparambil, DTM Abdul Ghafoor, DTM Manivannan Manivasakam, DTM Venkat Devraj, DTM Suresh Kumar, DTM Kooteeswaran and DTM Aziz Siddiqui were present. Educationalists Abdullah Al Ghamdi - chairman of Mariya International School and Ismaeil – director of Al Hussan International School Jubail, too attended the educational event.
A brilliant video presentation of the Elite Youth Leadership Program — 2017 Journey was displayed showing the transformation of the Youth Leaders over the period of 8 weeks. This also included a unique session titled “Our Gems”, where the mentors of the youth leaders voiced their thoughts and wishes about the participating youth leaders.
A dazzling awards session recognizing the youth leaders, youth leader advisors, parents, workshop presenters and the mentors in a grand style setting with a live “On stage Digital Display” creating an electrifying ambience.
The following Youth leaders emerged as the winners of the grand finale contests.
International Speech: Champion - YL Bareera Rizwan; 2nd Placed Winner - YL Jennessa D’Souza; 3rd Placed Winners - YL Manahil Naveed & YL Tala Ismaeil.
Table Topics Speech: Champion - YL Uniza Abdus Salam; 2nd Placed Winner - YL Ammar Elhassan; 3rd Placed Winner - YL Rafik Ghasan.
Evaluation Speech: Champion - YL Arshiya Abdul Jaleel; 2nd Placed Winner - YL Sahlah Oluwakemi Adesina; 3rd Placed Winner - YL Hania Kashif
