JEDDAH — Memon Welfare Society (MWS) hosted Iftar and dinner in honor of dignitaries arrived for Umrah from India, South Africa, Canada and UAE at Salt & Pepper restaurant recently. Iqbal Memon Officer, head All India Memon Jamaat Federation, was chief guest.
Other guests were Abdul Karim Yahiya Munshi, Mohammed Chapra, Ahmed Abdul Karim, Iqbal Advani, Younus Habib, Shoaib Sikandar, Ilyas Kapadia, Badshah Kapadia, M Shafi Niyama, Saleem Nagani. Program commenced with recitation of verses from Holy Qur’an by Hafiz Mohammed Ahmed Makki and Naat offered by Ahmed Kolsawala.
Irfan Kolsawala, president MWS, welcomed guests and congratulated all for performing Umrah in the holy month of Ramadan.
Tayyab Moosani, secretary general MWS, briefed all on the welfare activities of MWS-MASA. Moosani thanked the MWS for honoring the delegates of MWS in the Memon Convention held last month in Mumbai, India.
Moosani also praised the welfare services rendered by AIMJF under the leadership of Iqbal Memon Officer.
Iqbal Memon Officer said that whatever efforts he’s making is for the community and to please Allah Almighty and all work is done nicely due to his efficient, untiring and selfless team.
He announced that every year World Memon Day will be celebrated on April 11.
He said that on the occasion of Memon Day a slogan was created by brother Tayyab Moosani, which was liked, introduced and recognized internationally by all Memon Jamaats in the world.
The slogan reflects the full image of Memon Community in 3 words that is “Heritage Of Memon Community, Business, Welfare and Charity”.
He also appreciated MWS for hosting an Iftar dinner in honour of dignitaries and guests that have arrived from various part of the world.
Iqbal Officer received an award in recognition of his welfare services to the community from MWS.
Abdul Karim Yahya Munshi appreciated all members of the community for the selfless welfare services everywhere.
The outstanding achievement awards and Red Cultural Caps that were presented to Irfan Kolsawala and Tayyab Moosani in the Memon Convention, Mumbai, last month were also displayed in the event.
