JEDDAH — Danish’s superb 164 runs and Adil’s brilliant 106 powered Kashmir Stags to a mammoth total of 309 for 3 and then bundled out Riyadh Foods for 147 runs to win by 162 runs in the 9th week of Jotun Paints Saudi Cup sponsored by Jotun Paints Saudi Arabia and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).
An inspired unbeaten 108 and 2 for 36 by Atta Ur Rahman enabled ARM United carve out a win over Butt Sports which put up a spirited fightback before succumbing to 18 runs. Abdul Raheem’s fine all-round show of 3 for 43 and 32 runs enabled Makkah Kings to trounce KAIA by 56 runs. Makkah Eagles surprised favorites Jamoom Tigers helped by another all-round display by Shahzad who took 2 for 25 and scored 55 runs to steer the team to a 3-wicket win. Jamoom Fighters fought tooth and nail through the brilliance of Qasid who scored 60 runs and took 3 wickets for 35 to win against UT Lines by 18 runs. Al-Zafer managed a narrow 14-run win over Pak Makkah due to fine bowling spell by Fouji (3 for 22), Majid (2 for 9) and Samith (2 for 27).
