NAJRAN – Artist Maneh Hussain Saissan, a native of the region, for the past four years has been toiling hard to make a replica of Leonardo da Vinci’s famous painting of Mona Lisa, which is kept at the Louvre Museum in Paris.

What is interesting to note is that da Vinci also took four years to paint his Mona Lisa. Saissan’s painting of Mona Lisa is called “Thorns” and it shows desert in the background, and he has made use of oil colors to get the desired look. Saissan is a member of the Culture and Arts Society here and he hopes his painting gives him fame.
