DUBAI — The two-day 3rd Arab Women Leadership Forum, which begins on Nov.19 at Grand Hyatt, will have Saudi corporate expert Dr. Abdullah Al Abdulgader as one of the speakers, the Dubai Women Establishment (DWE) said.



Abdulgader is the founding executive director of the GCC Board Directors Institute (GCC BDi), KSA. A respected educator, he is also a member of the faculty of Saudi Arabia’s King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) where he teaches, researches and consults in the area of Management Information Systems. He also is an adviser at the Saudi Ministry of Higher Education and a board member of The Gulf International Bank.



The forum is organized by Dubai Women Establishment under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and led by Sheikha Manal Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, wife of Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Presidential Affairs.



The Forum is one of many initiatives established by the Dubai Women Establishment for the benefit of women with the active participation of private and public sector organizations. It aims to ensure that Emirati women pursue an aggressive growth agenda that positively impacts the UAE economy, and that of the overall Gulf region.



The third edition of the flagship forum will focus on issues and opportunities surrounding the role of women in the boardroom under the theme “Board Leadership and the Case for Diversity”.



Dubai Women Establishment is a statutory body of the government of Dubai, which encourages and facilitates the active participation of Emirati women in the economy and society, capitalizing on its own knowledge to advise legislators on policies that are more conducive to Emirati women in the workplace and their role in the family. It also influences networks and society to create a positive perception of participating Emirati women, and delivering services in Dubai which address the multi-faceted needs of women, to pursue an active lifestyle and sustained economic participation. — SG
