JEDDAH – The Safa Baitul Maal Education Welfare and Charitable Trust organized a program for their Muslim brothers in Assam recently at a local restaurant here.
Giyaz Ahmed Rashadi, president of the trust and an Islamic scholar, was the main speaker at the program. He has written more than 100 Islamic books, out of which five have been translated in Arabic.
His welfare services include Safa mobile clinic, Safa first aid services, Safa dental services, Safa blood donation services, Safa cancer fund collection, Safa funeral services and Safa Shariah helpline and many more are in full swing in five different states of India.
While addressing the audience, Rashadi showed short distressing video clips of the Assam camp where more than thousands of people are scrambling for basic things in life. He said his trust has been successful in distributing food, clothing and shelter to more than 4,00,000 people in Assam recently.
In addition, four Islamic schools in Assam have also been established.
The trust is one of the first eminent steps toward helping the poor Muslims in Assam.
He appealed the Indian community and all those present at the program to be sympathetic and help their brothers in India.
Many people from the Indian community and dignitaries who attended the program applauded the trust’s services.
