HAIL — A private security guard stabbed a young man who later died at King Khalid Hospital in Hail, a newspaper reported Sunday.

Hospital sources said the young man came to the hospital at dawn to visit a relative who was a patient there.

An argument erupted between him and the private security guard at the hospital gate.

The argument got physical and the guard then stabbed the young man in his back.

He was admitted to the hospital’s intensive care unit, but died moments later.

A spokesman for Hail police said the force received a report from a liaison officer at the hospital about the incident.

Officers were able to arrest a suspect shortly after he fled the scene.

Investigations are still under way. — SG
