Kokan Committee Riyadh (KCR) successfully held its first “Career Guidance” program last Thursday at Marhaba Banquet Hall, Riyadh.



KCR’s aim and vision is to promote educational, cultural and social aspiration of Kokanis and pioneering in the field of Education and Kokan Community Enrichment. KCR continuously strives to bring a sense of togetherness, community uplifting and welfare to the society and the nation as a whole.



KCR organized the “Career Guidance” program specially for IXth to XIIth students and their respective parents, with the association of the highly caliber scholars from various field of education and professions namely Dr. Mohammed Mukhtar Khan, Dr. Ozair Ghazi, Engr. Aamir Khan, Engr. Mohammed Karimullah, Engr. Ashfaq Syed, Engr. Junaid Desai and internationally fame Qari Imran Khan. Dr. Shameem Raza was the guest of honor.



Engr. Ashfaq Syed presented the topic on “Leadership, Personality Development and Communication Skills”.



On behalf of the KCR President Rafiq R. Dalawai, KCR Vice President Tajamul Pangarkar honored the chief guest and speakers with the Shwal and gifts.



The participating students were also honored with “Career Guidance Participation Certificates” to mark the event.



The main attraction of the event was the launch of the career guidance KCR booklet “Career Compass” written by Muzaffar Ibrahim Alsulkar.



The book was distributed among the students and attendees.



Engr. Aamir Khan discussed the “Indian Administrative Services”, their importance, necessity and existence in daily life. Engr. Mohammed Karimullah highlighted the field of engineering studies. Dr. Ozair Ghazi explored the field of science and medical studies.



Engr. Ashfaq Syed also gave enlightenment on computers and information technology.



Engr. Junaid Desai, on the other hand, shared his experience and knowledge on commerce and management.



Meanwhile, Dr. Mohammed Mukhtar discussed the hospitality industry and highlighted that hospitality is not just in hotel, but also in aviation and corporate world to event management. — SG
