DAMMAM — The Computer Society of Filipinos International, Inc. is to hold its first semester cluster classes in March.
Flyers are being handed out about the classes at Al Khobar and Dammam. Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) could make their weekends productive by enrolling in short courses offered by Comsofil-ERC .
With technology changing at a quick pace, there is every reason to upgrade or learn the use of the latest gadgets at home or at the workplace to stay abreast of the technical revolution.
The courses on offer this first semester are the following: MS Office 2010 (Word and Excel) Basic; MS Office (Word and Excel) Advance; Basic Digital Photography: Photoshop CS5 Basic; Photoshop CS5 Advance with Basic Illustrator.
Other courses include, Autocad 2010 2D Basic; Autocad 2010 3D Basic; Web Design; Advance MS Access Programming; PC Assembly and Troubleshooting; Laptop Assembly and Troubleshooting; Introduction to Networking; CISCO ICND1; Security System – CCTV; Windows Server 2008; Basic Electronics; Advance PC Configuration; Computer Fundamentals/ Windows 7.
Enrollment will be at Bangus Restaurant (formerly Chow Restaurant) behind Kadiwa Supermarket, King Saud Street between 1st & 2nd St., Al Khobar every Friday on Feb.1, 8, 15, 22 and March 1 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Classes will be held at Al Jazeera International School Dammam formerly Philippine School in Dammam or PSD on eight consecutive Fridays starting on March 8 till May 3.
Each class will be of three hours duration and to be eligible for the certificate of completion the student has to complete 24 hours.
The activities at the end of the semester also include an Information Technology Olympics (ITO). The students will have the chance to test their knowledge, both in theory and in practice, in the ITO.
