AL-KHOBAR — Citizens of various nationalities including Saudi nationals from Al Salem Johnson Controls organization’s Al-Khobar Branch donated blood as part of the Blue Sky Involvement project.
“This is a contribution from us to the community. We are keeping in mind the requirement of safe blood is increasing and regular voluntary blood donations are vital for blood transfusion services,” said a management representative.
“Al Salem Air Conditioning Company is a joint venture with Johnson Controls, a global diversified technology and industrial leader serving customers in more than 150 countries. We have fostered many community service programs under the Blue Sky project as a part of our company’s commitment and care for the community,” he added.
“Blue Sky Involvement is emphasized throughout the Al Salem organization, especially by the human resources department. This particular Blue Sky drive of blood donation is initiated by our management and fully supported by employees of our organization. Refreshment arrangements were made to encourage the donors.”
The event was organized in cooperation with King Fahd Specialist Hospital. Al Salem Company thanked the management and staff of the hospital for their support.
The company organized a cleanup operation of the Al-Khobar Corniche last year. On employee said, “We will continue our Blue Sky involvement through many more activities contributing to the community”. — SG
