Ex-labor director jailed, fined for bribery

BURAIDAH — A former director of a labor office has been sentenced to four-year imprisonment and a fine of SR300,000 for bribery.

The preliminary verdict was announced by the judges of the Summary Circuit at the Administrative Court in Al-Qassim region.

The verdict needs the approval of the Appeals Court. The defendant has the right to appeal.

The former labor office director was caught red handed while accepting a bribe of SR300,000 in cash return for issuing visas.
