HAIL — Saudi Aramco created around 500,000 job opportunities in the oil, gas, and industry sectors for Saudis, according to the company.

While presenting a paper at the Hail Investment Forum 2013, company spokesman Khalid Al-Shammary spoke about the feasibility of investments with Aramco.

He said the culture of free business and industry should be promoted while the gas and oil sectors should be further developed.

Projects worth SR450 billion that have been implemented in the Kingdom have increased economic growth by 6.5 percent, he noted.

Khalid Al-Sultan, manager of the Saudi Railway Company (SAR), said the company signed an agreement for a railway linking the north with south. The railway will offer haulage services for the mining sector, he added.

The new railway projects also include an 85-kilometer railway linking Ras Al-Khair with Jubail and a 115-kilometer railway linking Jubail with Dammam.

Al-Sultan, in his paper, said the freight and passenger stations to be built close to the Hail Economic City should serve the people of Hail city.. — SG
