JEDDAH — Saudi artist Lina Gazzaz launched her portraits collection — Figures of Color — in an exhibition held at the Consulate General of France in Jeddah recently. The 36 portraits on display were inspired by different forms of nature and Lina used imaginary figures and a wide range of colors to paint them. Each portrait sells for anywhere between SR8,000 and SR20,000.
Gazzaz thanked the French Ambassador to the Kingdom Bertrand Besancenot and the Consulate General in Jeddah for hosting her exhibition and said she was honored to participate in a cultural exchange between the two countries using the global language of art.
Gazzaz’s artwork mostly deals with figurative and Islamic art.
