Not so fast

With reference to the article “Asian leaders call for lifting of sanctions against Myanmar” on April 4, the Rohingyas (Burmese people in Arakan State) at home and abroad, particularly in the Kingdom, welcome the victory of Aung San Suu Kyi in the recent elections. But there is no need to hurry lifting the sanctions against the military junta. Asian leaders should remember that the Rohingya issue has not been resolved yet. Our ethnic group should get recognition and we should be repatriated to our homeland, the Arakan State.
