AL-KHOBAR — Al-Rushaid Construction Company Ltd. (ARCC), a joint venture between Al-Rushaid Petroleum Investment Company (ARPIC) and EEI Corporation of the Philippines, has maintained its quality standard in seven straight years, a remarkable accomplishment in quality excellence.



The company said on Thursday it has achieved the TUV NORD ISO 9001 certification for the seventh year “without non-conformity”.



An ISO certification or certification by the International Organization for Standardization ensures that products and services are safe.



“The ISO 9001 compliance conducted by TUV NORD headed by Dr. Arshad Ali Nagvi, auditing manager, meticulously completed all department and operations execution with outstanding no-records of non-conformity,” it said in a statement.



TUV NORD, which is based in Hanover, Germany, is a global leader and pioneer in consulting, engineering, qualification, inspection and certification to protect people, the environment and property against risks, particularly risks associated with the manufacture and use of products and processes as well as in installation and operation of equipment and facilities.



“The ISO 9001,  also known as Quality Management System (QMS), is important to ARCC in setting principles and guidelines in system efficiency, technological renewal, job satisfaction, human resources, customer-mind approach and leadership in society,” the company said.



At the closing ceremony,  Dr. Naqvi commended the company for its total commitment to quality as the audit report confirmed consistency in complying with its established Quality Management System.



“The consistency shows dynamism of the organization in terms of implementing and monitoring its standard with regards to internal measures and client requirement,” he said.



Al-Rushaid Construction Co. Ltd. uses many factors during the early stage of the certification and it is now harvesting for having an effective quality system.



Sheikh Abdullah R. Al-Rushaid, CEO & Chairman of the Board of Al-Rushaid Petroleum Investment Company, attended the post closing meeting, along with the company’s executive management and staff.



“I am very happy attending this closing meeting for I want to witness the findings of the Audit,” Sheikh Abdullah said as he congratulated the company’s management and staff for achieving another milestone.



“I am glad that ARCC is in good hands for maintaining safety and quality, the two most important aspect in all businesses, Safety for our people and the quality workmanship, these two are always together that is why we gained solid market reputation,” he said.



Since its inception eight years ago, Al- Rushaid Construction Company adopted the concept and principles “Quality is a line function” and “Do it right the first time”.
