JEDDAH – A five-year-old boy, Turki Al-Malki, died Wednesday morning in a hospital after he was admitted in a critical condition following inhalation of smoke in the fire that not only consumed his father’s house but his other two sisters as well — Reef, one year and a half and Miral, six months old.
Muhammad Al-Malki, Tukri’s father, had requested Jeddah Health Affairs to provide a bed for his son inside a public hospital, as the private hospital he was admitted to didn’t have the required facility to treat him.
Jeddah Health Affairs could not find a bed in any public hospitals but said that it would bear all the expenses of the child’s treatment in a private hospital.
Makkah Region Police has provided Turki’s father a new villa in Jeddah to alleviate his suffering. Maj. Gen. Jaza Al-Amri, Makkah Region Police Director, issued instructions to provide the grieved father with whatever he needs. As if it were not the end of his miseries, the unfortunate father has a daughter who is suffering from cancer.
