Shafeeq, Karamat excel with tons

JEDDAH – Kashif Shafeeq and Khurram Karamat of My Care Hala hit centuries, Hammad Saeed of Crown, Anis Malik of Zultec, Khubab of Johnson Control, Saifu of Mercedes Benz, Khalid of Sana Sports and Ahmed of AAA excelled to win matches for their respective clubs in the WPCA Summer Tournaments.
Asian Plastic Factory batted first against Zultec to post 174-8 through Nadeem Master, who top scored with 64 runs with five sixes and seven fours, and Usman (34). Javed Iqbal took 3-27 and Samer 3-30, while Abdullah and Afaq accounted for one wicket each.
Zultec, in response, made 175-5 as skipper Anis Malik hammered 86 in 40 balls, Javed Iqbal 27 and Farouk 26. Wajahat scalped 2-21, while Abdul Qayyum, Nadeem Master and Arshad accounted for one wicket each.
My Care Hala plundered 212-1 in 20 overs against AOT GFC through centuries by Kashif Shafeeq (101 in 65 balls with eight fours and five sixes) and Khurram Karamat (101 in 51 balls with eight fours and seven sixes). Together they added 202 in 108 balls for the first wicket.
In reply, AOT GFC managed 133-6 to lose by 79 runs. Faiq Habeeb hit 54. Hussain Bhatti, making debut for MCH, took 3-20 while Umar, Waheed and Yasir got one wicket each.
IDBG opted to bat against Crown Steel and posted 147-8 through Khurram (41) and Aijaz (33). Imran took 2-17, while Hammad Saeed, Irfan and Fahad took one wicket each.
While chasing, Crown Steel was home with 148-4 in 89 balls. Hammad Saeed top scored with an unbeaten 72 in 36 balls, Babar made 28 and Ahmed 24.
Arabian Auto Agency racked up 161 against Al-Saudi XI through skipper Naveed Nawaz (30), Fakhar (24) and Ashraf (20). Munzir grabbed 3-41.
In reply, Al-Saudi XI managed 136. Nazeer Siddiqui top scored with 34, Waqas remained unbeaten on 33 and Abbas hit 21. Ahmed Naveed grabbed 4-5 and Fakhar 3-26.
Mercedes Benz batted first against ALJ Toyota to pile up 163-6 through Saifu (59 not out) and Nazim (23 not out). Sami took 2-31.
ALJ Toyota, in reply, fell short by 14 runs. Bilal hit an unbeaten 51 in 29 balls and Basheer scored 26 in a total of 150-9. Amratul took 2-25, Zulfi 2-27 and Taha 2-36.
Sana Sports chased the required 160 in 74 balls by losing one wicket against Otex. Khalid remained unbeaten on 78 off 32 balls, Adnan made 39 and Haroon 25.
Rayyan Khan tallied 185-5 against Johnson Control. Abideen hit five fours and two sixes in 60, Abdulqayyum made 54 in 26 balls and Ehsan 32. Saeed scalped 2-23 and Farook 2-44. Johnson Control hit 189-4 in 87 balls. Khubab plundered an unbeaten 83 with five sixes and eight fours. Sheikh Ali hit 41 to produce 105 for the fourth wicket with Khubab. Amir contributed 23.
