The issue of allowing women to drive is still contentious despite the fact that those who oppose it present arguments that do not hold water. This issue has been discussed many times.

It is high time that women were given the green light to drive so that they stop suffering at the hands of expatriate drivers who take advantage of their employers.

If women were given a chance to talk about their suffering, we will hear dozens of stories in which drivers take advantage of their situation and try to earn more money.

But our society is still obstinate about giving women the right to drive their own cars.

When people hear a statement made by an official, they start spreading it and talk about it a lot as if it is the final solution to resolving the issue.

The justice minister said earlier that there was no legal impediment that prevents women from driving in the Kingdom.

“The decision on this issue is left to society. There is no legal text that prevents women from driving,” the minister had said.

These statements spread like wild fire on social networking sites. Tweeters who support women’s driving were happy when they heard these statements.

Time makes us change our lifestyles. Today women can work because living conditions have forced them to. Tomorrow, the other needs of women will be realities on the ground because living conditions make these needs obligatory.
