DUBAI — The Chelsea College of Art & Design (CCAD) is pleased to announce that the official opening for the specialist portfolio of ten Interior Design and Interior Decoration Short Courses will take place on May 19 at the XVA Gallery DIFC.



From 7- 9pm guests are invited to an open evening which will be led by lead tutor Lyndall Fernie, who has has run her own successful interior design company, consulted and designed many high-end residential projects and specialises in re-modeling existing projects.



The elite London based Art and Design College is returning to Dubai with expert tutors to teach from Friday 17 May until Monday 27 May 2013 at the iconic Dusit Thani Hotel. This is the fifth time that the Chelsea College of Art & Design has delivered courses in Dubai and, as such, are enjoying booming course participation from students based in the UAE, as well as from countries further afield including Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Pakistan, South Africa and Australia. The courses will coincide with the much anticipated INDEX (International Design Exhibition). This year, all CCAD students will be given complimentary tickets to the show, as part of their course to further their knowledge on the latest design ideas and concepts in interior design.



Lead CCAD tutor, Matteo Bianchi, an interior designer with an entrepreneurial flair will be hosting a key note talk at INDEX on the May 21 at 2pm before commencing the teaching of his courses.



The ten courses being offered by CCAD in May 2013 are: The Principles of Interior Design -1, The Principles of Interior Design -2, The Principles of Interior Design - 3; Introduction to Furniture Design, Lighting Design for Interiors, How to Decorate Your Villa or Apartment, Starting an Interior Design Business, Freehand Drawing, Soft Furnishings, and Exploring Materials for Interiors.
