DUBAI — A pair caught romping in a Dubai taxi must serve two months in jail after losing their final court appeal here, Monday.

Brit Becky Blake, 30, had been topless, straddling Irishman Conor McRedmond, 28, in the back of a cab.

The pair denied having sex after a ten-hour vodka binge but Becky was immediately sacked from her £100,000 a year recruitment firm job.

The United Arab Emirates’ highest court Monday ruled the two were guilty of breaching the Muslim state’s strict decency and alcohol laws. Both will be deported after their jail term, which begins in about ten days’ time.

Becky, of Croydon, South London, said after the hearing: “I am devastated by this result and gutted this has been dragging on for a year.

“I am very scared about going to prison.

“I have heard such bad things about what happens behind bars here.”

Cab driver Qaiser Khan, 30, had told prosecutors: “The man’s shirt was open, his trousers were down to his knees and the woman was not wearing any underwear.”

Becky and Conor face financial ruin after spending £45,000 on lawyers in the vain bid to clear their names.

The pair’s defense had even produced medical reports said to prove they did not have sex. — Agencies
