TABUK — The Health Affairs Directorate in Tabuk is investigating the death of a Saudi woman after she had a uterus cleaning operation at Taima Hospital. Talal Al-Enexi, the husband of 23-year-old Latefah, said his wife was in the second month of her pregnancy when she miscarried and was suffering from vomiting and dizziness. She was admitted to hospital to undergo the D&C procedure, which lasted from 12 noon until 10 p.m. After a short while Al-Enexi was informed that his wife had died. However, when he received his wife’s body, his mother noticed operating marks on the woman’s feet and neck. The husband submitted a complaint to the hospital head, who formed a team to look into the case. Spokesman for Tabuk Health Affairs Oudah Al-Atwee said an investigation is under way to determine what had happened.
